ABOUT LIONTAIL PRESS
Transplanted to Ithaca, NY from Brooklyn in the fall of 2015, Liontail Press is the one-woman design and print operation run by yours truly, a Georgia-born artist and printmaker. My name is Laurin, and I'm convinced that I was born with ink running through my veins. I take immeasurable joy in bringing original, whimsical designs to life with the timeless tactility and charm that is letterpress printing.
It is my hope that evidence of my heart and hand shines through with each unique piece I guide through the press. Here, you can be sure that my utmost care and attention is invested every step of the way. I'm so in love with what I do, and can't wait to share my work with you! Born and bred in Georgia, Laurin Ramsey grew up around a grandfather with decades of experience in the print world. Raised to appreciate simplicity, charm, and craft, Laurin found herself lured quite naturally to the artisanal art and practice of letterpress printing.
Laurin followed her love for the printing process and inky fingers at the University of Georgia, where she double majored in Printmaking and Art Education. After a few years after college working as a graphic artist and presswoman for small print companies, Laurin left the desk and decided to shake things up. Pulling the lion's tail - so to speak - she left behind friends, family, possessions, and Georgia humidity, went to Paris, lived and cooked on an ashram in the Catskills, and ended up in Brooklyn, NY.
Once settled into her new home, Laurin decided to focus on living her passion for print, which she playfully brings to share with you at Liontail Press. To Laurin, life is about living what you love, being kind to yourself and others, and sharing what you can with those around you.

Liontail Press believes deeply in putting good in to get good out. That's why we print only on 100% cotton, treeless paper and 100% recycled chipboard, and package our prints and cards in compostable sleeves.
